An elderly Bronx woman is recovering from a badly bruised body and her family is putting the blame on the Bainbridge Nursing Home where she lives.
Agustina Nunez?s granddaughter says she found bruises on the 95-year-old?s body on several occasions. According to Nunez?s family, no one at the nursing home could explain what happened or what time the incidents occurred. Nunez?s family claims nursing home officials found Nunez covered in bruises but did not call an ambulance until almost 12 hours later.
According to Nunez?s granddaughter, a social worker told the family the nursing home is short-staffed, however, that is not an excuse to slack off. Nunez?s family says after the elderly woman recovers at Lady of Mercy Medical Center, she will not be going back to the nursing home.
