Two ordinances have been passed by lawmakers restricting outdoor storage and mandating landscaping in Bridgewater.Lawmakers say they hope steep penalties will push people to keep their property clean. They say in general, the streets of Bridgewater are full of nice houses and clean lawns. However, they say some houses look more like junkyards than backyards and those houses discourage future buyers.Penalties for violating the new laws range from $1,000 in fines to 90 days behind bars.
