A 10-year-old boy has been charged with bringing a loaded handgun to his elementary school on Long Island.
The incident happened Monday at Meadow Elementary School in Baldwin.
News 12 New Jersey is told the boy was showing the gun to his friends at lunchtime when a school employee spotted the loaded, .40-caliber pistol.

Officials say they believe the fourth-grader got the gun from a relative's house.
