A bomb threat forced the evacuation of the Secaucus Walmart on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say that an employee received a text message from an unknown number stating that there was a bomb inside the store.
Police arrived a little after 3:30 p.m. and evacuated the store as a precaution.
Various “bomb squads” from Hudson and Bergen counties showed up to investigate. Officials say they searched the store and did not find any explosive materials.
Officials say that the threat appeared to be a hoax and originated from a “spam” number.
The Walmart reopened later that day.
