A 26-year-old Air Force member from Newark was identified as a drowning victim in Georgia.
Authorities say the body of Daniel Romain was found at Amerson River Park in Macon.
According to Bibb County Sheriff's Office, first responders found Romain’s body on Monday. The law enforcement agency said witnesses reported he went under while swimming Sunday night and did not return above the water.
Romain enlisted in the Air Force in January. He was assigned to the Robins Air Force Base.
