A water main break in Nutley has prompted Bloomfield to issue a boil water advisory for its entire town.
Residents in the area have been experiencing little to no water pressure at all. Some even have no heat.
Officicials say the water main break happened on Bloomfield Avenue. They say other nearby communities in Passaic, Hudson and Essex may be impacted.
The Newark Water System is waiting for repairs to be made to the North Jersey Water Commission line before proceeding to fix the issues that are affecting Bloomfield.
"Seeing what we can do to get them turned back on once this gets totally fixed," says Nutley Mayor Joe Scarpelli.
Officials say as many as 300,000 residents could be impacted.
