Wildlife officials tranquilized a bear that climbed a tree in downtown Montclair.
The bear was spotted Monday morning in a tree along Union Street.
The bear will be relocated back to the woods.
Bear sightings have been increasing around New Jersey in recent weeks now that they are out of hibernation and are more active.
Officials are warning residents to be cautious and to keep track of their pets and small children.
