Friday’s rain, wind, sleet and snow put a damper on holiday travel Friday in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport, leaving some wondering when they’ll be able to get into the skies.
Thousands of flights were canceled nationwide since Thursday. At Newark, there were nearly 200 cancellations and delays as of Friday morning.
Some travelers who even tried to move their flight up to avoid the storm still had issues getting where they needed to be — and that’s even before some had to then brave the icy and flooded roads.
