A newborn baby is clinging to life in Bergenfield after he was found dumped in a recycling bin outside a deli Friday.
Police say the hours-old baby was found inside a knapsack in the recycling bin outside the Crossroads Deli. According to officials, the baby is in critical condition at Englewood Hospital. The infant's 15-year-old mother is also being treated at the hospital. Police say the teen's mother did not know her daughter was pregnant and rushed her to the hospital because she was bleeding after she secretly gave birth in her house.
Police say the mother is facing juvenile charges of attempted murder and endangering the life of a child.
