City leaders in Teaneck say they won?t fight to do away with laws that ban shopping on Sundays.Sunday no shopping rules are called ?blue laws.? Some local merchants have been grumbling about the place of such laws in a consumer-oriented society. Howard Rose owns a Teaneck bookstore, but says he's an advocate of keeping the laws in place so people can have a day off.Residents expressed mixed feelings about the shopping prohibition. Some said they prefer the quiet time while others resent having to drive out of Bergen County to shop. Across the nation, Sunday is the second busiest shopping day in the week.
