A Bergen County woman who turned her passion for art into a profession has had to pivot her services to stay in business.
Laura Hoyos is the founder of Paint 2 Smile in Englewood. She used to do face and body painting, but the pandemic forced her to shut down her studio.
Hoyos now creates and delivers arts supply kits and hosts online art classes. She says that during times like these, it is important not to give up hope.
"If God gave you the vision, it’s because he gave you the tools to make it a reality. All you have to do is look within you, because the answers are already there,” she says.
Hoyos says the mission of her art classes is not only to teach people how to paint but to also provide a fun way to keep family and friends connected during the pandemic.
