The Belmar Lake Como St. Patrick’s Day Parade – the largest annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in the state – has been postponed, according to its organizers.
A Facebook post stated that due to the aftermath of this week’s blizzard, the parade was postponed due to “safety concerns for participants and spectators.”
The parade was scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 1.
“We hope to reschedule for another date in coordination with Belmar and Lake Como, depending on logistics, safety and financial issues. Thank you for the continued support for our parade,” the organizers wrote in the post.
The post also stated that the annual Investiture Mass for the Grand Marshals will take place on Feb. 258 at St. Rose Church as scheduled.
