As much as 2 inches of rain were dumped on areas of the Garden State, causing several problems along the Jersey Shore.
Red flags were out on the beaches in Spring Lake warning swimmers and surfers of the dangerous rip currents. The National Weather Service called the surf conditions Monday potentially life-threatening.
Meanwhile, some beaches weren?t even opened. The Brown and York Avenue beaches were closed due to pollution. The Department of Environmental Protection also ordered the Terrace and Beacon Boulevard beaches in Sea Grit closed.
Some streets were also closed due to flooding.
