A beach replenishment project in Bay Head is now complete after falling behind by several months.

Heavy machinery and blocked-off portions of the beach caused headaches for beachgoers and local businesses during the height of the summer.

Residents tell News 12 that they are happy that all of the pipes and equipment have been removed from the beach.

A total of 2.1 million cubic yards of sand are being dredged up and spread throughout Ocean County beaches.
