A suspect who refused to surrender to police prompted the lockdown of Jackson Liberty High School Wednesday afternoon.
Police say that the man barricaded himself inside a shed in the backyard of a home on New Central Avenue and refused to come out. Police say that he was armed and that the SWAT team was brought in.
After several hours, police used tear gas and took the man into custody.
It was unclear what sparked the standoff or what charges the suspect may face.
