The New Jersey State House Annex in Mercer County became the target of an apparent swatting incident on Friday.
State police say troopers were alerted to a threat of a shooting there around 2:39 p.m. A shelter-in-place was put in effect but was lifted after a search determined there was no danger.
The State House Annex was then evacuated, according to authorities.
Following a preliminary investigation, police said the event appeared to be a swatting incident. No other details have been released.
