Authorities investigate hit-and-run crash in Toms River that critically injured pedestrian

Police say that they believe the vehicle is a blue Volkswagen sedan.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Toms River Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a person critically injured.
Officials say that that crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near Massachusetts Avenue and Mobile Lane in Toms River. They say a vehicle struck a pedestrian and did not stop.
Officials say the victim is in critical, but stable condition at Community Medical Center.
Police say that they believe the vehicle is a blue Volkswagen sedan. They say there would be damage on the front driver side and a broken driver-side rearview mirror.
