Hoboken police are investigating three separate incidents of women claiming to be groped by a person riding an e-bike.
Hoboken officials say the incidents all happened Tuesday afternoon near the intersections of Second and Garden streets, Garden and First streets, and Willow Avenue and Seventh Street.
The incidents left some Hoboken residents shocked and afraid.
“I think that Hoboken prides itself on its safety and then something like that happens in the middle of the day – [it’s] terrible,” said Andrew Provenzano.
Hoboken police are investigating each incident as criminal sexual contact.
“I’ve never heard of anything like that here before,” Lil O’Brien. “That’s scary. Hopefully they can figure out who it was.”
A description of the suspects was not provided.
Anyone who might have information is asked to call Hoboken Detective Samuel Flores at 201-420-3104.
