Three people from New Jersey are facing charges in connection to a kidnapping in Astoria, Queens.

Officials say Aasim Boone, Jarrett Bruce and Lesly Valentin attacked and abducted a male victim in December 2022.

The trio allegedly beat and tortured the man and demanded money from him.

Officials say the victim was eventually released, but the trio allegedly threatened further harm to him and his family if he failed to give them $150,000 in cash and 50 pounds of marijuana.

If convicted of kidnapping conspiracy, the trio faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, according to officials.
