Attorney General Platkin to take paternity leave after birth of new daughter
State Attorney General Matt Platkin and his wife welcomed a new baby daughter named Maya.
The baby was born at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center on Monday, according to a statement from Platkin.
“Our family has grown, and we are thrilled that our son Robert has a sister to grow up together with,” Platkin wrote.
The attorney general also announced that he was taking several weeks of paternity leave to be with his family and bond with the new baby.
“Being able to take parental leave is not something I take for granted, and I am reminded of ways in which Governor Murphy has helped expand the availability of family leave to allow parents across the state to care for new children or family members through the New Jersey Family and Medical Leave Act,” Platkin stated.
