A police pursuit in Middlesex County has left one person dead and three others injured.

A police pursuit in Middlesex County has left one person dead and three others injured.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office says a Marlboro police officer was trying to pull over a car that was suspected to be related to an attempted car theft in Marlboro.
Officials say the suspect car did not pull over and struck several other vehicles during the chase. It finally crashed at the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Route 9 South in Old Bridge.
It was not clear who was killed. The names of the victims have not been released.
Route 9 was closed for several hours following the crash.
