Atlantic City's Bally's casino to close for 38 hours to perform technology overhaul
Bally’s casino in Atlantic City will temporarily close for 30 hours next week to perform a technology overhaul.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement says that the closure will begin on Feb. 16. at 8 p.m. and end at 10 a.m. Feb. 18. The agency says the shutdown will only affect the casino floor, not the associated hotel, but those who booked rooms for those days can get refunds if they like.
Bally’s was sold in November for $25 million from Caesars Entertainment to Rhode Island-based Twin River Worldwide Holdings, which subsequently changed its name to Bally’s Corp.
The new owners have promised to invest at least $90 million into the property.
