Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small has been indicted for witness tampering, according to prosecutors.
The charges stem from an incident in January where Small allegedly hit his daughter in the head multiple times with a broom, causing her to lose consciousness.
Prosecutors accuse Small of trying to get his daughter to lie about the head injury, asking her to say that she tripped and fell in her room instead.
This is not the first time Small has faced charges related to this incident. He and his wife, La'Quetta Small, were previously indicted on child abuse charges.
