The Atlantic City Aquarium reopened Monday for the first time in five years following renovation and repair work on the inside and outside of the building.
The aquarium is located at the historic Gardner’s Basin. It showcases more than 100 species of sea life, including Groman, a 225-pound Loggerhead sea turtle.
Attractions include the “Under the Sea” coloring area, hurricane simulator and photo booth. Officials say that six hands-on touch tanks will open by early summer.
News 12 New Jersey photojournalist Ryan Beckman toured the inside of the aquarium on the first day since its reopening.
