Asbury Park students will be required to wear a uniform for the first time in 12 years.
The new dress code applies to students in pre-K to 12th grade and will begin on the first day of school Sept. 8.
Here is the dress code:
- A Columbia blue top with navy bottoms for elementary school students.
- A black or white top with khaki bottoms for middle schoolers.
- A Columbia blue top with khaki bottoms for high school students.
The district will offer some financial assistance on a first come, first served basis.
The change aims to improve the culture of the district.
