Asbury Park City Council members say it?s time for the developer of the area?s waterfront to show more progress.
City Council members have given the developer, Asbury Partners, until March 30 to come up with a definite plan for the waterfront. If the developer misses the Council?s deadline, members want to impose sanctions and receive assurances that Asbury Partners has the money to finish the project.
Residents and local business owners say they would like to see the pace of development move quicker. One couple, who is opening a bar, says redevelopment would bring more people into the area.
