With the start of another heat wave in the Bronx Saturday, residents are urged to stay safe.
The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) says the best way to beat the heat is to stay indoors and drink plenty of fluids. People who exercise outdoors or work in hot and humid conditions are at risk for heat exhaustion. The Red Cross is advising that people take it easy during the heat wave.
Cooling centers have opened across the borough where people can enjoy air conditioning for free. To find the nearest cooling center call 311.
