? Arson investigators are scouring the scene of a Tuesday-morning fire that some say could have been prevented.
Firefighters struggled to put out flames in an abandoned house on Roseville Avenue, near Park Avenue. The fire spread to neighboring homes and left eight families, at least 32 people, homeless. During the blaze, firefighters lost water from a hydrant. Pressure couldn?t be restored for several minutes.
Some residents say the fire should have never happened. They claim in the past month the abandoned home caught fire five times and should have been demolished. Arson investigators are calling the fire suspicious and are questioning someone considered a person of interest.
