Altercation leads to slashing on Hudson-Bergen Light Rail in Jersey City

The incident occurred while the train was stopped at the Liberty State Park station, according to New Jersey Transit Police.

A man was slashed in the forehead during an altercation aboard a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train in Jersey City.

The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. while the train was stopped at the Liberty State Park station, according to New Jersey Transit Police.

Police said a physical altercation broke out between two adult men on the train, resulting in one of the men being slashed in the forehead.

The victim suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening and refused medical attention.

The other man was arrested on assault and weapons charges. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.
