All
hospitals across all regions of New Jersey now fall into the green category, and
now, up to two guests are allowed at one time. The guests must follow mask and
symptom screening guidelines.
It’s a first since last fall, and
another sign COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the state continue in the
right direction.
The
color-coded system was developed by the New Jersey Hospital Association and
adopted statewide.
Hospital
visits were put on hold last year and last fall, the new color coordinated
system took effect. But what does it mean for visiting patients?
COVID-19 patients still can't have any guests except in
special circumstances; the same applies for immunocompromised patients.
New Jersey had been at level
yellow for the past few weeks. A level red meant no guests were allowed, with
limited exceptions.
