Some flights into and out of Newark Liberty International Airport may be delayed due to an aircraft incident closing one runway.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says that a wing on a private plane was damaged after landing at the airport just before 2 p.m. Thursday.

A pilot and passenger were on board, but were not injured.

The runway will be closed for an investigation into the incident.

Travelers are advised to check with their carriers to find out the status of their flights.
