Ace is ready to be a furry Valentine for a loving family. Although he's shy at first, this almost 3-year-old pup is affectionate and playful once he gets comfortable.
Ace has spent more than a year with a foster mom through Jersey Girls Animal Rescue, who describes him as especially shy around men until he's properly introduced. Volunteers say he's a "real ladies man."
"He is a love bug and loves to snuggle with his foster mom who says he is such a good boy," his description on the shelter's web site states.
A Catahoula-leopard mix, Ace's foster mom says he loves to cuddle on the couch, go for walks outside, run and play in yards and dog parks. His ideal home would have only adults and a fenced-in yard, the shelter explained. He's also very comfortable around other dogs.
"He does take a little time to warm up to new people and would do best in a quieter home where there is not a ton of traffic and with an experienced handler who understands needs and behavior of working breeds," his description reads.
Ace is neutered, housebroken and up to date on his immunizations.
