A dedication ceremony took place at Newark International Airport on Friday in honor of the first responders and civilians who lost their lives in the attacks.
A new monument was unveiled, which featured a steel artifact from the World Trade Center South Tower.
Port Authority leadership and the airport community came together to remember those who didn't hesitate to help.
A flag dedication is now above Gate A-17 at the airport, which will be replicated in the lobby of Building 1.
