Teachers are gearing up for a very different school year. Many will have to teach students in-person, virtually, or a blended form of both. 
Below is a list of seven online remote learning tools that educators can use to continue teaching and communicating with students during the 2020-21 academic year. 
1. Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. Teachers are using this application to send students daily assignments. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
2. Zoom Video Communications

3. Flocabulary
Flocabulary is a library of songs, videos and activities for K-12 online learning. Flocabulary engages students with hip-hop videos and tools to captivate students while engaging them in academically rigorous content.
4. Newsela
Newsela a database of current events stories tailor-made for classroom use. Teachers can create classes and assign articles.
5. ClassDojo
ClassDojo makes sure the classrooms are connected. ClassDojo helps instantly communicate and engage schoolteachers, families and students. Teachers can share lessons, announcements, links while communicating with parents through messaging. 
6. Khan Academy
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside the classroom.
7. Kahoot!
With Kahoot! teachers can engage their students via self-paced games or host Kahoot! Via videoconferencing.
