Dozens of dogs are in much better hands after being rescued from a filthy home in Belford.
Authorities say several of the canines were pregnant, some with hours-old puppies.
All 60 dogs are now at the Monmouth County SPCA.
They say all of the dogs will need extensive medical care and are asking for donations to help.
