A 4-year-old boy from Toms River was struck and killed by an ice cream truck Thursday while he was with his family in the Catskills.

Officials say Shmuel Gelis was riding his bicycle when the truck hit him.

The driver stayed on the scene. It was unclear if any charges would be filed.

Gelis was laid to rest Friday in Lakewood.
