Firefighters battled a four-alarm fire in a three-story home in Kearny Tuesday night.
It took firefighters approximately 45 minutes to get the flames under control at the house on the corner of Oakland and Highland avenues. Kearny Deputy Fire Chief Robert Osborn says the homeowner was not home at the time of the blaze and has not yet been found.
The home suffered extensive damage in the fire. No one was injured battling the flames. Fire officials say the fire does not appear suspicious, however, the cause is under investigation.
