A fire forced three people out of their home in Hawthorne Monday.
It happened just after 1 p.m. along Goffle Road.
Officials say no people were injured, but a parrot died in the fire.
"It’s a house from 1760s — a lot of hidden spots in it,” says Hawthorne Fire Chief Joe Speranza. “House appears to be a total loss, the entire back of the house was completely lit up in fire when we got to the scene."
Several fire companies assisted to get things under control.
