Rail service was suspended in both directions between Newark Broad Street and Hoboken on three NJ Transit rail lines Thursday afternoon after the Newark Drawbridge became stuck in the open position.
According to NJ Transit, the disruption affected the Morris & Essex Line, Gladstone Branch and Montclair-Boonton Line.
NJ Transit said rail tickets and passes were being cross-honored on NJ Transit and private carrier buses, NJ Transit Light Rail and PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and Penn Station New York.
The agency had not announced when normal service would resume.
