As the driver charged with crashing into a community Halloween event on Thursday awaits his court appearance, people in Bushwick are still recovering from what happened.
Six people, including three children, were hurt after police say an alleged drunk driver, now identified as Michael Marsh, jumped the sidewalk outside the 83rd precinct Thursday afternoon. The car hit an ambulance, causing a chain reaction that struck people attending the trunk-or-treat event.
The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say they're recovering in stable condition.
The crash is also raising safety concerns in the area.
"That's just really terrifying," said one woman. "I feel like we have to work harder to make spaces safer for kids."
Marsh was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including vehicular assault and DWI.
