Made in Long Island, with help from PSEG Long Island, can help owners navigate the struggles of owning a business.
Rachel De Martin, who recently opened Royalty Dog Grooming in Port Washington, grooms dogs and makes leashes and collars to sell. She says PSEG Long Island’s Business First Advocates program has helped her explore savings on energy bills and secure assistance toward the cost of her storefront awning.
“I am almost speechless because they’ve been so incredible,” De Martin says.
The program provides business customers with a dedicated personal contact to help navigate billing questions, referrals, grants and energy-saving incentives and rebates.
Advocates also reach out directly, visiting businesses or calling owners to offer assistance so they can spend more time running their shops.
For De Martin, that support makes a difference during a challenging first year.
“Saving money on any billing is really helpful,” she says.
