New Jersey's online gambling industry continued its rapid growth in September, bringing in nearly $275 million and helping fuel another strong month for the state's gaming sector.
State figures show online gambling revenue climbed 13% compared with the same month last year, highlighting the continued shift toward digital betting platforms.
While online casinos posted gains, Atlantic City's nine casinos generated about $228 million from in-person gambling, down from approximately $231 million during the same period a year ago.
Sports betting revenue also declined. Casinos and racetracks reported about $77 million in sports wagering revenue in September, compared with nearly $90 million one year earlier.
The latest figures underscore how online gambling continues to drive New Jersey's gaming industry growth even as revenue from casino floors and sports betting faces pressure.
