We’re starting the day with some clouds around Long Island, but sunshine will take over as we head into the afternoon. It will be a nice but breezy day, with north-northwest winds occasionally gusting near 30 mph. That afternoon sunshine will help temperatures climb to around 75 degrees.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, clear and cool. Temperatures will fall into the 50s across much of the Island, with some upper 40s possible around the Pine Barrens. It’s definitely going to have that early fall feel by Tuesday morning.
Tuesday is looking beautiful with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures in the lower 70s. We’ll stay dry Tuesday night under partly cloudy skies, with overnight lows once again dropping into the 50s.
Wednesday brings another great day with lots of sunshine and afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-70s.
The quiet stretch of weather continues through the end of the workweek. Thursday will be sunny and a little warmer, with highs climbing into the upper 70s. Friday also looks good with sunshine followed by a few late-day clouds and temperatures in the 70s. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a beautiful stretch of September weather across Long Island.
