Labor Day weekend is here, marking the unofficial end of summer, but the season is still in full swing at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant.
People are spending the holiday weekend soaking up the final days of summer, enjoying the beach.
For boardwalk businesses, they say rainy and windy weather made for a challenging season, with fewer beach days.
Still, there is plenty happening at Jenkinson’s this weekend.
“Everything’s open,” said Lisa Lightbody. “Beach rides, mini golf, all the restaurants, gift shops, all games on the boardwalk, even our indoor aquarium. We have the arcades. Everything’s open and will be open all weekend.”
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk will host its annual Labor Day fireworks show Monday night, giving people one more chance to celebrate summer before the unofficial end of the season.
