A 37-year-old Warren County woman was killed in an early morning crash along Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County.
Troopers responded to the scene at 7:32 a.m. along I-78 West at milepost 7.4 in Bloomsbury Borough.
Based on a preliminary investigation, 37-year-old Cassandra J. Battaglia, of Washington, N.J., was driving a Kia on the Exit 7 ramp toward State Highway 173 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
State Police confirmed Battaglia sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and state police have not released further details.
