A 2-year-old girl and her aunt are OK after an incident Monday night on the Sky Ride in Seaside Heights.

The incident was initially reported as the two jumping or falling from the ride.

But officials now say that the girl did not properly get settled on the ride and tumbled to the edge of the boardwalk and sand before the ride lifted off the ground.

Her aunt got off the ride to help her, leaving a 3-year-old boy on the seat.

Ride operators quickly stopped the Sky Ride, and firefighters used a ladder to help the boy down.
