A falling tree crushed two parked cars and knocked out power to multiple homes on Chestnut Street on Monday afternoon.
The Red Bank Fire Department was dispatched to the scene on Monday, marking the department’s seventh emergency call of the day.
Upon arrival, crews found a large tree that had collapsed onto two unoccupied vehicles parked along the roadway. The falling tree also tore down electric, telephone and cable wires attached to two nearby residences, severing utility service to the homes.
Emergency crews worked to secure the area alongside utility personnel who were called in to address the downed lines. No injuries were immediately reported.
