A boil water advisory for residents in Southwest Yonkers was lifted Friday, county officials said.

Officials say it's now safe to drink the water for those who live on Moquette Row North and on Nepperham Avenue between Lake Avenue and Ashburton avenues.

The advisory was put in place following a major water main break caused by a state contractor working on the Saw Mill Parkway Sunday.

The break was fixed on Wednesday.
