Work is underway on a Hudson County Vision Zero project designed to improve safety along a busy Jersey City roadway.
The project is focused on JFK Boulevard between Sip and Bergen avenues.
According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the corridor saw 154 crashes between 2022 and 2024.
Officials say the Vision Zero initiative is targeting high-risk areas with safety upgrades aimed at reducing crashes and improving conditions for pedestrians and drivers.
Planned improvements include updated traffic signals, upgraded curbs and sidewalks, and ADA-compliant ramps.
County officials say the changes are intended to make the corridor safer and more accessible for everyone.
Several other locations across Hudson County are also slated for Vision Zero improvements including portions of Frank Rodgers Boulevard, Paterson Plank Road and Secaucus Road.
