E-bike rider killed in crash on Route 27 in Franklin Township

An e-bike rider was killed Saturday in a crash with a vehicle in Franklin Township, according to police.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at Route 27 and South Middlebush Road.
A preliminary investigation found the man was riding an e-bike south on Route 27 when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn from northbound Route 27 onto South Middlebush Road, police said.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police did not identify him.
